Di Nigerian Government don suspend di 15% import duty wey dem bin wan put for petrol (PMS) and diesel (AGO). Di spokesperson of di Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), George Ene-Ita, yarn dis one for statement on Thursday. E beg Nigerians make dem no panic buy fuel or diesel, say petrol dey ground well-well across di country. NMDPRA talk say di 15% ad valorem import duty no dey in view again and confirm say petroleum products dey available within di national supply level wey government accept.

Di agency still warn marketers make dem no hoard fuel or increase price anyhow, say local refineries and importation go continue to supply depots and filling stations without wahala. NMDPRA promise say dem go keep eye on fuel supply and take any step wey go stop scarcity or disruption during dis peak period. Remember say President Bola Ahmed Tinubu bin approve di import duty last month to encourage Dangote Refinery, but di decision cause mixed reactions. Some people hail am say e go boost local production, while others vex say e fit increase fuel price and add more wahala for Nigerians.
