Di Office of di Attorney-General of di Federation (AGF) don talk say di defamation charges wey dem file against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan correct well because her actions and statements against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello break di Penal Code. Di AGF talk dis one as reply to di preliminary objection wey Natasha file to challenge di three-count charge of harmful imputation and defamation wey come from complaint by Akpabio and Bello. Dem talk say di case come from her allegation say Akpabio and Bello plan assassination against her. Natasha appear for FCT High Court, Maitama, on June 19, where she plead not guilty, before she file objection to dismiss di case. On Monday, Justice Chizoba Oji adjourn di matter go December 1 after prosecution lawyer, David Kaswe, talk say dem never fit serve dia counter response to di defence.

For di counter-affidavit, AGF office talk say di charges wey dem carry against Natasha follow di law well-well and na part of di constitutional power of di Attorney-General. Dem talk say Natasha action really break Penal Code, and di police don already do full investigation wey involve all petitions and people wey write complain. Di AGF talk say dem file di case because of public interest, justice, and to stop abuse of legal process. For di charge number FCT/HC/CR/297/25, Natasha dey accused say she make harmful talk wey fit spoil Akpabio and Bello name say dem plan kill her and say Akpabio get hand for di death of Miss Iniobong Umoren. Her lawyer, Ehighioge West-Idahosa (SAN), don argue say AGF abuse dia prosecuting power and ask court to dismiss di case as jurisdiction matter. But for Monday hearing, Kaswe talk say dem mistakenly serve dia counter for wrong address, so e beg court for short adjournment. Di defence confirm say dem never collect di document and beg court for longer adjournment because dem wan attend International Bar Association Conference for Canada. After hearing both sides, Justice Oji adjourn di case go December 1 for continuation.
