One man don die and eight people don survive after one three-storey building collapse for Apapa area of Lagos on Thursday. Di Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirm di incident, say e happen for No. 28 Baale Alayabiagba Street, Ajegunle, Apapa. Di LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, talk say dem get distress call around 11:09 a.m., and dem quickly activate di state emergency response plan from Agbowa and Alausa. When di rescue team reach, dem meet di whole building don scatter, with plenty workers trap under di rubble. Eight men wey dem rescue alive get first aid from Lagos State Ambulance Service before dem carry dem go Ajeromi General Hospital, but one man no make am, dem pull am out from under di debris.

According to residents wey dey di area, di building bin dey undergo manual demolition before e suddenly collapse, burying some of di workers wey dey on site. Di cause of di collapse never clear as at di time of di report. Emergency responders from LASEMA, Lagos Fire and Rescue Service, Neighbourhood Safety Corps, Building Control Agency, NEMA, and Nigeria Police all show face for di scene to help control di situation and prevent more wahala.
