Lagos State Government don call on construction companies, property managers, and all di people wey dey involved for building work make dem join body help tackle di wahala of waste wey dey come from construction, demolition and disaster activities. For one stakeholders’ forum wey happen on Tuesday, Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, talk say Lagos dey urbanize fast, and if everybody no cooperate, di environmental impact go plenty. Di event, wey carry di theme “Building Responsibly and Driving Efficiency,” bring plenty industry experts, government people and environmental advocates together to talk how dem go take manage waste better.

Wahab talk say as Lagos dey grow, building dey increase, and with that, waste go surely follow but how dem manage am go determine if Lagos go remain livable or go turn to dirty city. E warn say government no go look face for people wey no follow environmental law say dem go seal sites and fine anybody wey default. Dem don talk say all project sites must register with LAWMA, submit Waste Management Plans before work start, and also separate, recycle, and dispose waste properly. Speakers like Dr. Tijani Ajibola and LAWMA rep, Kunle Adebiyi, still join mouth beg for better cooperation from developers and more awareness so people no go just dey dump waste anyhow.
