Lagos Police Commissioner, CP Hakeem Odumosu Jimoh, don confirm say Sowore still dey wanted after him allegedly “cause disturbance of public peace and plan to commit serious felony by blocking traffic for Third Mainland Bridge.” CP Jimoh talk for Channels Television Sunrise Daily on Wednesday say since dem declare am wanted on Monday, Sowore never report to police. Him insist say declaration still dey valid, and police go pursue am well-well. Jimoh talk say Sowore lawyer don contact am Monday while e dey respond to riot, and message don reach Officer-in-Charge of Legal for Nigerian Police Force for follow-up. Dem agree say Sowore go report CID because na there investigation dey. But Sowore never show, so police go do everything wey law allow to arrest, investigate, and prosecute am.

CP Jimoh also reject claim wey Sowore talk say Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun don order make dem shoot am on sight. Jimoh call the claim “major misinformation” and say IGP no fit give such order. Him add say statement from Sowore dey try cause wahala for public and show say Sowore dey plan to disturb peace for Lagos. Jimoh insist say declaration wey dem make na proper police move and anybody wey get issue fit go court for redress.
