Kidnappers Shoot Motorists, Police Don Deploy Dem For Kwara

Suspected kidnappers on Sunday attack motorists along Eruku–Egbe Road for Kwara State, dey fire gun for vehicles wey refuse stop. Di gunmen reportedly cause fear among travellers, as some motorists halt their journey while others speed pass di danger zone risking to get shot. Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, yarn say one motorist wey dem shoot at abandon him trip, take refuge for Eruku Police Station till next day because e fear another attack. Ojo clear say di route no block again yesterday, na just wetin happen Sunday about 4:00 p.m. wey dem fire at one vehicle wey rush go police station.

Ojo confirm say na kidnappers dem be, as dem fire to force driver stop make dem trans-load, but driver refuse, stay for police till morning. E add say police operatives don deploy to di area and chase di kidnappers from di road. “Plenty police dey for dat road now because di information wey we get be say di kidnappers come from Ayemoro, Ekiti State, and we still dey investigate,” di police chief yarn.
