E stress say food security dey central to national and state development strategies, and Lagos dey invest heavily in private-sector partnerships to strengthen systems, logistics and value chains wey go boost productivity and market efficiency. E remind dem say Lagos be di biggest market for sub-Saharan Africa and must mobilize people to produce for Nigeria, adding say limited landmass no be excuse as innovation fit break barrier like Netherlands example.
E urge young people to take ownership of di future of agriculture and assure dem of continuous government support through programmes like Produce-for-Lagos and di Guaranteed Uptake Fund. Di Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems explain say di Agrinnovation Club dey serve as bridge between young agripreneurs and Lagos agriculture transformation agenda, noting say initiatives like Eko Flavours Culinary Initiative, Lagos Food Festival, L.A.P and Lagos Agric Scholars Programme dey drive di Agricultural and Food Systems Roadmap launched in 2021. She say di Agrinnovation Club dey play key role in di Produce-for-Lagos programme to strengthen production base, link rural producers to urban markets and ensure Lagos dey consume wetin e produce. She hail di creativity and energy of Lagos youth, pointing out innovations like rooftop farming, waste-to-feed ideas and digital platforms linking farmers to buyers as proof say small but consistent innovation go transform di sector. Di Special Adviser on Agriculture and Food Systems thank Governor Sanwo-Olu for im visionary leadership and commitment to food security, youth empowerment and innovation, noting say di Agrinnovation Club be bold step to build sustainable, tech-driven agricultural ecosystem.
