Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) don unveil dia new Crawler Bot technology, a big step to modernise and secure potable water supply across di state. LWC Managing Director, Mukhtaar Tijani, talk say checking underground transmission mains don always hard, slow and cost plenty money, but di new bot dey give di visibility wey dem no get before. Developed with help from Konsadem Associates and McAlpha Inc., di robot dey waka inside pipelines, dey capture high-definition video, take measurements, detect corrosion, cracks, blockages and any leak wey fit happen. E still dey map pipe coordinates and diameters, give engineers correct insight into critical assets, help dem take smarter decisions, target maintenance well, reduce water loss and improve service reliability.

Di system wey dem don integrate with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping and hydraulic modelling go still strengthen LWC push for digital transformation and long-term planning. Di engineer talk say di initiative show LWC commitment to sustainability, operational excellence and protecting Lagos water infrastructure.
