Umahi Gifts NSCDC Speedboat To Guard Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos

Minister of Works, David Umahi, don give speedboat to Marine and Infrastructure Protection Unit of Lagos State NSCDC to protect Third Mainland Bridge and other federal bridges for di state. Umahi talk say di donation na part of him magnanimity and strong commitment to support di Corps for protecting vital public infrastructure. Lagos State Commandant of NSCDC, Keshinro Adedotun, thank Umahi for di support wey go help Corps fulfil dia statutory duty, monitor marine corridor, and boost morale of di men wey dey tackle unscrupulous activities under di bridges. Commandant also thank former Federal Controller of Works, O.I. Kesha, for her efforts to provide necessary logistics for proper protection of Third Mainland Bridge and other critical infrastructure.

Keshinro, following directive from di Commandant General, commission di new speedboat and inaugurate di Marine and Infrastructure Protection Unit with Assistant Commandant Oloyede Emmanuel Ige as commander. Ige thank Umahi, di Commandant General, and Lagos State Commandant for di appointment and pledge to monitor and patrol activities under di bridges for better protection. Meanwhile, Lagos State Commandant warn licensed dredgers to follow di law and caution anyone wey dey do illegal dredging, encroachment, or excavation to stop or face full force of law.
