Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, don approve make dem upgrade and renovate NYSC Orientation Camp facilities for Rivers State. Di governor give di approval on Tuesday when e dey receive NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, for Government House, Port Harcourt. Fubara talk say Rivers State still dey peaceful and hospitable, and e no shock am say plenty graduates and parents dey prefer di state for national service. E add say di state stability show how government dey protect lives, property and provide basic amenities.

Fubara don direct di Secretary to di State Government, Dr. Benino Anabraba, make e check di work wey dey required for di camp and submit report for immediate action. E talk say di state go provide office space for di new NYSC regional office and fit relocate or remodel di NYSC State Secretariat wey e talk say don old. NYSC DG, Nafiu, talk say 2,586 corps members dey do 2025 Batch C orientation for Rivers, wey make di state di fourth most preferred deployment place. E add say 8,349 Rivers indigenes dey serve for different states, and corps service dey save di state like ₦15 billion if e value am at full salary.
