According to Opeyemi, di act include two‑year jail for any Resident Electoral Commissioner wey go hide important election documents and dat e allow quick release of money to INEC, so dat election go smooth.

E say di law na as a result of two years tuk, tuk, with stakeholders like INEC, AGF and civil society to deepen democracy and improve transparency.

Di Senate leader insist di reforms go strengthen election integrity, technol­ogy use and accountability in Nigeria’s electoral system ahead of di next polls.
