Oyo State Gornment don warn residents make dem stop open defecation and di way pipo dey dump waste anyhow for streams and waterways, say e fit weaken efforts to control erosion.

Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Ademola Aderinto, give di warning on Monday afta dem finish final inspection of some project sites under di Naija Erosion and Watershed Management Project supported by European Investment Bank.

Places wey dem visit include Aborerin Stream for Eruwa, Fedomu Stream for Igbeti, and some erosion sites inside Ladoke Akintola University of Technology for Ogbomoso.

Aderinto say di project go soon start and e go hellep communities wey dey suffer from erosion and environmental damage for long time.
