Army and Immigration Join Hand To Tighten Border Security For Yobe

Nigerian Army and Nigerian Immigration Service don promise to work more together to strengthen border security, manage migration and tackle new security threat for Yobe State.

Dem make di commitment on Wednesday when Commander Headquarters Sector 2, Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, Brigadier General Edet Effiong, receive di newly posted NIS Yobe Comptroller, Comptroller IZ Abubakar, during a courtesy visit to di Sector Headquarters for Damaturu.

Effiong stress say security agencies need to continue working togeda to keep Nigeria borders safe.

E say better information sharing, joint border surveillance and closer engagement with border communities go help security agencies fight terrorism, human trafficking, smuggling and illegal migration.
