Court Throway Lagos Accountant Go Kirikiri Over ₦200 Million Wahala

Justice Rahmon Oshodi of Lagos State High Court don order make dem remand one accountant, Oguibe Promise Nwachukwu, for Kirikiri Correctional Centre over alleged ₦200 million wey e thief from him former work, Travelstar Web Logistics Limited. EFCC reveal for Facebook say dem don arraign Nwachukwu and him company, Wifamapp Royalty Global Limited, on top 13-count charge wey include stealing, conversion, and breach of trust. EFCC accuse am say between 2018 and 2020, e carry company money spend for personal use. For one of di counts, dem talk say e convert $36,000 (about ₦54 million) in 2020, and another one na $156,000 (about ₦234 million) between January and July 2018.

EFCC talk say di matter contravene Section 280(1)(b), (2)(f) and 287 of Lagos Criminal Law, 2015. Nwachukwu plead not guilty to all di charges. EFCC lawyer, A.A. Usman, ask for trial date and say make dem keep am for EFCC custody. But him lawyer, Kelvin C. Uzozie, say dem don file bail application and beg make e no go Kirikiri. Judge come adjourn di case go October 17, 2025, for bail hearing, but order say make Nwachukwu remain for Kirikiri till court decide him bail.
