Diezani Corruption Case Near End as UK Court Await Jury Verdict

Former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, alongside oil executive Olatimbo Ayinde and her brother Doye Agama, don enter court for dia defence for Southwark Crown Court for United Kingdom.

British prosecutors talk say Diezani collect luxury gifts and expensive properties from oil businessmen between 2010 to 2015 in exchange for favour during oil contract awards while she serve as minister.

Dem say na dis alleged bribery mata make dem carry di case come court, but all three defendants don maintain say dem no dey guilty of di charges.

For im closing argument, Diezani lawyer Jonathan Laidlaw tok say di prosecution no bring enough solid evidence, accusing dem of building di case on incomplete proof and failing to charge the people wey allegedly give the bribes.
