Fire Guts Five Shops in Ilorin, Damages Storey Building

Fire don destroy five shops and damage part of one storey building for Ita-Amodu, Niger Junction, Ilorin, Kwara State.

Di incident happen on Sunday around 1:36pm, according to Kwara State Fire Service.

Di fire affect one storey building wey get three-bedroom flats and 10 shops. Five of di shops and di building parapet suffer damage.

Kwara State Fire Service Public Relations Officer, Hassan Adekunle, explain say materials wey dem dey use produce mattresses and sofas dey among di goods for di affected shops, and dem help make di fire spread fast and become intense.

Fire service personnel later respond to di incident and work to stop di fire from spreading to nearby buildings.
