Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Monday hold meeting with di security chiefs for di state to check security level and boost preparedness. For im post on X, Abiodun talk say e meet di chiefs to assess di security situation for Ogun and Nigeria as e affect dem. E remind say “di best time to prepare for war na when peace dey,” as Ogun still dey rated among di most peaceful states for Nigeria. Di governor stress say to keep Ogun peaceful, dem must dey proactive and hold regular engagement with security heads so threats no go escalate, especially as insecurity dey worsen for other parts of di country. E yarn say dis meeting no be di first, but na important one to strengthen all security measures.

Abiodun add say di discussion be part of broader effort to keep Ogun safe for all residents, as e and di service chiefs reaffirm dia commitment to maintain peace and stability. Di meeting happen at a time wey attacks by suspected terrorists and bandits dey rise across Nigeria. Last Friday, bandits abduct 215 students and 12 teachers from St Mary’s School for Papiri, Agwara LGA of Niger State, and by Sunday, 50 students don escape. Dis one follow di abduction of 26 schoolgirls from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, Kebbi, four days earlier. For Kwara State, Governor AbdulRazaq don announce di release of 38 people wey dem kidnap during attack on Christ Apostolic Church for Eruku, Ekiti LGA.
