Lagos Court Sentence 16 Offenders To Jail

Lagos wast management pipo don secure court conviction for 16 environmental offenders wey dem arrest for illegal waste dumping across Lagos.
According to reports, Di offenders appear before Oshodi Special Offences and Mobile Court and each receive four months jail sentence for offences including dumping waste for wrong places and refusing to use approved waste collectors.
LAWMA tuk, tuk, Mukaila Sanusi, konfam, say dem arrest di people during enforcement operations for areas like Gbagada Expressway, Anthony Oke, Oworonshoki and Bariga.
Di agency MD, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin, say di judgment show say Lagos government serious about enforcing environmental laws and keeping the state clean.
