Lagos State Government don vow to prosecute three people wey dem arrest for illegal waste disposal for Ayobo area. Dis one happen just 48 hours after reports say residents dey fear possible disease outbreak from refuse wey dey scatter everywhere for di state. Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, share dis statement for X, say suspects bin catch during surveillance by Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).

Wahab identify di suspects as Awosunle Akinola, Adepeju Seun, and Solamipe Akanwo. E talk say, “LAWMA Waste Infractions Surveillance and Investigation Team apprehend dem during overnight operation for unauthorised waste dumping for Ayobo. Dem don transfer dem go LAWMA legal team for Oshodi Taskforce office make further legal action start. All black spots don reduce.” Operation finish Tuesday morning, wey catch two males and one female. Di ministry still dey do surveillance across Lagos to find and remove illegal waste dumping sites, including Iwaya Yaba wey refuse bin block canal.
