Di Nigerian Association of Medical and Dental Academics, NAMDA, on Friday for Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, extend di 21-day strike ultimatum by three weeks to give Federal Government more time to settle outstanding issues through negotiation.
NAMDA warn say if government no reach meaningful agreement before August 31, 2026, di association go begin three-day warning strike across federal universities.
Di association direct all branches nationwide make dem mobilise members and organise congress meetings to prepare for possible industrial action if talks fail.
NAMDA also blame government for slow negotiations and poor attention to medical education, while praising DSS and other stakeholders for helping to keep dialogue alive.
