Nigeria-China Trade Hits $18bn, Aquatic Deal Unlocks Chinese Market.

Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment John Uwajumogu say Nigeria-China trade don reach $18 billion for first half of 2026, up from $28 billion recorded for di whole of 2025, as both countries deepen business relations.

Uwajumogu urge Nigerian exporters and businesses to take advantage of new access to di Chinese market through implementation of di aquatic products protocol.

Chinese Ambassador Yu Dunhai say Nigerian exports to China rise by 80 per cent for di first half of 2026, while overall bilateral trade increase by 35 per cent, showing room for stronger economic cooperation.

Di ambassador also assure Nigeria of China’s support to implement di agreement and help modernise and expand Nigeria’s power system.
