Him re-election announce on Sunday through one Facebook post by Peter Agba Kalu wey congratulate am and call for public celebration. Kalu-Agba, wey still dey serve as City Council representative for him district, don hold di Deputy Mayor position before, but him step down according to new state law wey talk say Mayor Pro Tem fit serve only two years before new official go dey elected.
Di law also talk say person wey don serve no fit re-elect immediately until another cycle pass, but dem fit contest again if dem wan. Kalu-Agba don return to di position after him successor tenure don finish and him go still dey serve as both Deputy Mayor and council member at di same time. Him current four-year city council mandate go finish for 2027, and na then him go decide whether him go contest re-election again.
