Ogun Seal Church and Bakery Because of Environmental Pollution

Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) on Wednesday talk say dem don seal one church and one bakery for causing environmental pollution for Ago-Oko and Abiola Way areas of the state. Information and Public Relations Officer for OGEPA, Luke Adebesin, talk this one for statement. According to Adebesin, the church wey be End-Time Grace Apostolic Church wey dey Ago-Oko area, dem seal am because of noise pollution, while the bakery, Imole Ayomi Bakery, wey dey Abiola Way, Abeokuta, dem shut am because of air pollution. He talk, “Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency don seal Imole Ayomi Bakery and End-Time Grace Apostolic Church because dem break environmental laws of the state. “Imole Ayomi Bakery, wey dey Abiola Way, Asero, Abeokuta, dem seal am because of air pollution wey get bad effect on public health, while End-Time Grace Apostolic Church for Ago-Oko dem seal because of noise pollution wey also dey threaten public health and disturb community peace.”

Quoting Special Adviser to Governor on Environmental Protection, Farouk Akintunde, Adebesin talk say dem seal the places because dem no follow proper environmental rules even after many warnings. Akintunde talk, “Dem seal those places because dem no follow environmental standards even though OGEPA don warn dem before.” He also talk say agency dey committed to make environment healthy and sustainable, and encourage people to report any environmental crime to protect state ecosystem. On September 19, Ogun State Government seal five Chinese companies for Ogere area of Lagos–Ibadan Expressway after workers for those companies allegedly attack law enforcement officers and state officials. The companies wey dem seal na DL Plastics Limited, Dyschenghan Plastics, SH Agricultural Limited, Beautiful Fibre Limited, and Jincaicai Nigeria Limited.
