President Tinubu Appoint Tunji Disu As Acting Police IGP Afta Egbetokun Resign

Wi President Bola Tinubu don appoint Assistant Inspector-General of Police Tunji Disu as Acting Inspector-General of Police afta Kayode Egbetokun resign from di position.

For statement wey presidential tuk,tuk Bayo Onanuga release on Tuesday night, di President say di appointment take effect immediately because of security challenges for di country.

Dem say according to Police Act 2020, Tinubu go soon call meeting for Naija Police Council to consider Disu as di main man for di IGP role before dem go send im name go Senate for konfamation.

Before dis new role, Disu bin dey serve as AIG in charge of Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex for Alagbon, Lagos.

Di new Acting IGP don also serve before as Commissioner of Police for Rivers State and Federal Capital Territory, and na former head of di Intelligence Response Team of di Naija Police Force.
