Banks sef no dey operate for Monday. Places like Aba, Okigwe, Onitsha, Nnewi and other growing urban centres still dey slow on Mondays, with some reluctantly opening from 12 noon. But for capital cities, full commercial and social activities dey go on. Residents yarn say communities wey recent dey liberated from criminal elements dey slowly adapt to “new life,” while Owerri no full Monday sit-at-home don mostly end. But di Court of Appeal for Owerri still dey shut on Mondays because four years ago, driver of one Justice dey kidnapped, and dem never see am again. Residents also warn say for communities like Okigwe and Ihube, caution dey still necessary because past attacks don make people careful, and nobody wan risk life or business for Monday.
