Security wahala don reach boiling point for Oyo State as Governor Seyi Makinde don officially declare 16-hour curfew for 10 local government areas wey dey border di Old Oyo National Park.
Di new order, wey start today, Wednesday, June 24, 2026, mean say nobody suppose dey outside between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. The curfew go last for at least 48 hours as security agencies intensify efforts to rescue over 40 students and teachers wey kidnappers don hold hostage since May 15.
The affected local gorment areas include:
Oriire (Ikoyi-Ile) ,Orelope (Igboho) ,Irepo (Kisi), Saki West (Saki), Saki East (Ago-Amodu), Atisbo (Tede/Ago-Are), Itesiwaju (Otu), Iseyin (Iseyin), Olorunsogo (Igbeti), Atiba (Offa-Meta).
Gorment don warn residents to obey di directive and cooperate with security personnel, as dem continue di search-and-rescue mission to bring our missing children back home safely.
