Senate Clear Road For State Police Across Nigeria

Di Senate on Tuesday pass bill wey go amend di 1999 Constitution to allow state police begin operate for all states across Nigeria.
Senate Leader, Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele, present di bill before lawmakers consider and approve am afta more dan two-thirds of senators vote in support.
Di bill create two police systems, Federal Police Service and State Police Services, to replace di current single Nigeria Police Force structure.
One key provision for di bill be say state governors go fit appoint Commissioners of Police for dia states, but di state Houses of Assembly must first konfam di appointments.
