NARD Give Federal Government August 10 Deadline, Threaten Nationwide Strike

Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) don give Federal Gornment till 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, to fulfil di agreement wey dem sign before, or dem go begin total and indefinite strike for public hospitals across di country.

Di doctors tok dis one after dia National Executive Council (NEC) meeting wey hold for Gombe State, say plenty promises wey gornment make never see implementation.

Dem complain say doctors still dey face attack and harassment for work, salary and promotion arrears never complete, working condition bad, and resident doctors for LUTH dey suffer alleged intimidation and poor treatment.

NARD say if gornment no act before di deadline, doctors for public health facilities nationwide go down tools until dia demands dey met.
