Edo Record Over 70 Child Abuse Cases, Fathers Top List

Edo State Gornment say over 70 child abuse cases don happen between January and July 2026, with fathers responsible for more than half.

Women Affairs Commissioner Eugenia Abdallah yarn this on Thursday during press conference for Benin City.

She say di pipu include children between two and 10 years, while one 14-year-old girl wey her father allegedly abuse dey eight months pregnant.

Abdallah say government dey keep some victims under protection and cases wey dem report dey receive attention from authorities.
