NAFDAC Coordinator for Jigawa State, Mansur Abubakar, on Friday for Dutse urge mothers make dem practise optimal breastfeeding to support babies’ survival, growth and development, as Nigeria mark 2026 World Breastfeeding Week.
Abubakar say NAFDAC, alongside di Breast Milk Substitutes technical committee, organise radio awareness programme to educate residents on di importance of breastfeeding using major local languages.
Di agency also partner with di National Association of Nurses and Midwives to carry community sensitisation on safe breastfeeding practices and NAFDAC regulations.
Abubakar explain say di campaign aim to strengthen public awareness and encourage more mothers to give babies a healthy and sustainable start in life.
