Yesterday, Nigeria and Brazil sign one important agreement wey dem dey call Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA), wey go allow direct flight between di two countries. Nigeria Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, sign di agreement on behalf of Nigeria, while Brazil Minister of Transport, Silvio Costa Filho, sign for Brazil side. Di two presidents, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva dey ground to witness di signing for Brasília. Di agreement go help open road for more trade, tourism, investment, and make people from both countries relate well-well.
According to Keyamo media adviser, di agreement na big move under Tinubu government to expand Nigeria global partnership and create better opportunity for business and movement of people. Brazil national airline, Varig Air, go dey fly from their side, while Air Peace and Caverton go operate from Nigeria. Di flights go dey run between Lagos and Rio de Janeiro. Lula talk say Brazil ready to work with Nigeria for aviation, agriculture, and infrastructure. Tinubu go still meet Brazil Senate President, di head of di Chamber of Deputies, and Supreme Federal Court, plus hold other important meetings to build stronger relationship between both countries.
