Three people don die after one building collapse for Borno Way, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos State, and this na the second time such thing happen for the area in three years. The building wey collapse na at 333 Borno Way, where dem recover three bodies and rescue four people alive from the rubble. For November 16, 2023, one-storey building for 34 Oloto Street, Borno Way, off Freeman Street, Oyingbo, collapse too, and one 80-year-old woman die. Dem talk say that one happen because dem use substandard construction materials. One emergency official wey no want make we talk im name talk about the latest issue say: “The cause clear well-well. The materials wey dem use no good, from pillar reach other parts of the building, nothing correct. The concrete no strong. The building collapse around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, trap plenty people under the rubble.”

Emergency people from National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS), plus other organizations rush the place come do search and rescue work. The Acting Head of NEMA Lagos Operations Office, Ibitayo Adenike, confirm the number of people wey die: “Four people dem rescue alive, and three bodies dem find for rubble. All the people wey die na men. “We no dey expect say we go still find more bodies because the person wey dem rescue on Friday night tell us say only seven people dey the building.”
