2027: APC Open Door Make Anybody wey Get Liver Contest Against Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) don talk say even though plenty people don endorse President Bola Tinubu for second term, other people wey dey inside di party and wan contest for president in 2027 still fit try their luck. APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, talk dis one on Wednesday for one news session with journalists for party headquarters for Abuja. He talk say di party leadership including di National Working Committee, Progressives Governors Forum under Governor Hope Uzodinma, and National Assembly leaders led by Senator Godswill Akpabio don throw support behind Tinubu because of wetin dem call “him better performance.” But Argungu come still talk say APC na party wey dey follow democracy well-well, so dem no go lock anybody out.

According to am, “We no go close door for anybody wey wan contest for president. When di time reach, we go release our timetable. Anybody wey wan run under APC go fit buy Expression of Interest and Nomination Form to show say dem wan run”. He add say dem no talk say door don close, na just say dem dey show appreciation to wetin Tinubu dey do and dem believe say he deserve second term, na why dem endorse am. Dem ask Argungu whether APC go do like PDP wey in 2014 reserve presidential form only for Goodluck Jonathan, but he dodge am. As dem talk about APC performance for recent by-elections, Argungu say na by God grace plus hard work of APC leaders and members make dem win 13 out of 16 seats. He say di win show say Nigerians still believe in APC and trust say di party fit deliver correct leadership and governance.
