CAF Hail Africa Teams for Historic World Cup Performance

CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, don praise di performance of African national teams for FIFA World Cup 2026, say di continent achieve historic success and football for Africa dey grow well.

For statement wey CAF release on Wednesday, Motsepe say out of di 10 African countries wey play for di expanded 48-team tournament, nine qualify from di group stage enter Round of 32.

According to am, dis na di highest number of African teams wey ever qualify from di group stage for World Cup history.

Motsepe add say although Africa provide 20.8 per cent of all di teams wey play for di tournament, di continent produce 28.1 per cent of di countries wey reach di knockout stage.
