Judge step down from Natasha case after Akpabio petition

Justice Obiora Egwuatu wey dey Federal High Court for Abuja don step down from one case wey involve suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Justice Egwuatu bin dey handle the case but on Tuesday, e talk say e no go fit continue.
E make this decision after Senate President Godswill Akpabio write one petition wey question whether e fit judge the matter well.

Even though dem bin schedule the case for hearing, as court clerk call the matter, the judge talk say e no go handle am again.
E talk say e go return the case file to the Chief Judge make dem assign another judge to the case.

For March 4, Justice Egwuatu bin issue one interim order wey stop the Senate Committee on Ethics Privileges and Public Petitions from continuing disciplinary actions against Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Dem accuse her say she violate Senate rules.

The judge rule say make dem no continue the disciplinary process until dem decide the case.
E also give the defendants 72 hours to explain why court no go stop dem from investigating the senator without following the rules wey dey for the 1999 Constitution the Senate Standing Order 2023 and the Legislative Houses (Powers and Privileges) Act.

Justice Egwuatu still allow make the senator serve legal documents on top the defendants through substituted means.
The court talk say make dem give the documents to the Clerk of the National Assembly or paste am for the National Assembly premises.
Dem still talk say make dem publish am for two national newspapers.

This interim order happen after the senator file one urgent application.
But even though court don rule, the Senate Committee still hold their meeting and suspend her for six months.

Later, after the defendants apply, Justice Egwuatu amend the order wey e bin first give.
E remove the part wey talk say make Senate no take any action while the case dey go on.

Meanwhile, Akpabio legal team wey Kehinde Ogunwumiju lead question whether court get power to interfere for Senate matter.
