ASUU Say Professors Salary Don Fall Below Secondary School Principals for Lagos

ASUU on Wednesday for Lagos accuse Lagos State Gornment say senior professors for state owned universities dey earn less dan secondary school principals, as di union say dem never implement 2025 FG ASUU agreement wey suppose improve lecturers welfare.

Di union branches from LASU, LASUSTECH and LASUED make di allegation during emergency press conference for ASUU Secretariat, LASU Ojo, because lecturers dey face poor salary, high tax deductions and hardship.

ASUU Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Oluwaseun Babalola, appeal to Gofnor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday for Lagos to urgently carry out di agreement, as he say delay don worsen di condition of academic staff.

Babalola also show alleged payslip of a secondary school principal earning N799,000 monthly and claim say no professor for LASU dey receive such amount, as di union demand better treatment for lecturers.
